Lesbian Brutally Beaten By Girlfriend’s Brother Releases Statement: ‘He Has Threatened To Finish Me Off’

Mallory Owens was brutally beaten by her girlfriend’s teenage brother on Thanksgiving and while she initially defended him saying it wasn’t a hate crime, RadarOnline has now obtained a statement from her in which she reveals that he has “threatened to finish me off.”

Mallory and her family are determined to raise Travis Hawkins Jr.’s charge from second-degree assault to attempted murder — especially since this wasn’t the first time he beat her so bad she was hospitalized. Earlier this year Travis hit Mallory over the head with a metal pipe but she didn’t pursue charges.
‘I was unconscious when the beating ended. I do not know what stopped him. I do know he has threatened to kill me before, he has attacked me with a metal pipe before, and on Thanksgiving Day he launched an unprovoked attack on me that left me unconscious, hospitalized, suffering horrific head trauma, severe injuries and in need of surgery and additional treatment,” Mallory said in her statement.
“Since the attack, Travis Hawkins Jr. has been seen following my family and appearing at locations where they have gathered. He has threatened to finish me off. I believe as long as he is free on bond that my life continues to be in danger. Even beyond the physical harm, I am quite traumatized. I am afraid and I feel that I have been victimized repeatedly by the Hawkins family.”

I am represented by attorney Christine Hernandez. I am supported by my family, friends, several organizations including Equality Alabama and GLAAD as well as numerous other indviduals who have offered a multitude of support to myself and my family including all of those that have donated to help me with my medical expenses. For all of you that have supported me, I am very grateful.
The last week has been the most traumatic several days I have ever experienced, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Not just for me, but for my family as well. Fortunately, we are a strong family, and we are sticking together as a family.  On Thanksgiving Day, I visited the Hawkins’ home, the family home of my girlfriend Ally Hawkins. As I was leaving, I was brutally attacked by Travis Hawkins Jr., Ally’s brother. I believe that he intended to kill me. I was defenseless against him. This was not the first time Travis Hawkins Jr. attacked me and sent me to the hospital.
Travis Hawkins Jr. has been charged with Assault Second Degree by the District Attorney’s office. Although, I appreciate all the efforts of the hospital and EMS staff, police, all the investigators, and District Attorney Ashley Rich, neither I nor my family agree that Assault Second Degree is the right charge. We are very hopeful and optimistic that as Ms. Rich, her offce and the police continue to investigate this crime, that the charges will be upgraded to attempted Murder. I was unconscious when the beating ended. I do not know what stopped him. I do know he has threatened to kill me before, he has attacked me with a metal pipe before, and on Thanksgiving Day he launched an unprovoked attack on me that left me unconscious, hospitalized, suffering horrific head trauma, severe injuries and in need of surgery and additional treatment. Since the attack, Travis Hawkins Jr. has been seen following my family and appearing at locations where they have gathered. He has threatened to finish me off. I believe as long as he is free on bond that my life continues to be in danger. Even beyond the physical harm, I am quite traumatized. I am afraid and I feel that I have been victimized repeatedly by the Hawkins family.
The interview at the Hawkins home was not requested by me, nor was I aware that the media would be at the Hawkins home. I was brought back to the home by Ally Hawkins. I wanted to be in my own apartment. Mr. Hawkins Sr. insisted we give the interview and statements were made. I believe Mr. Hawkins Sr. is very manipulative, I believe he organized the family and orchestrated the media represenation to portray himself in a better light. I do not feel safe there. I was very uneasy and nervous while I was there. I was still very disoriented, weak, and intimidated. Mr. Hawkins Sr. has also threatened me with harm based on my relationship with his daughter. Travis Hawkins Sr. threatened me with a metal pipe while I was waiting in the car on a prior occassion. Travis Hawkins Jr. used a metal pipe to assault me on a prior occassion. He and his son pose a very real threat. I will not go back there.
It will be a very long time before I feel safe again. This sort of attack whether it is proven to be a hate crime or a crime derived from one man’s hate of another human being should not happen to anyone in this country. No one should have to endure an attack the way that I did. Neither should a mother have to see her daughter in the state that my mom had to see me.
During this investigation, many statements were made to the media, some were premature and misguided. All of us involved have been at the center of a huge media storm. At this time, we want to let the investigation continue and we need to heal. Ally Hawkins has continued to release statements and make arbitrary facebook posts and she has even offered a motive for her brother’s actions. Please know that Ally Hawkins is NOT SPEAKING for me, she is NOT representing me in the media in any way. Her statements and public posts on facebook or any other form of social media are NOT representative of my opinions, beliefs or words.
I am fortunate that my family’s love for me is unconditional. I fell in love with a girl. My family loves, accepts and supports me. They have shown nothing but love and acceptance throughout my attack, my time in the hospital, and the investigation of this brutal attack, they have been there for me, loving me and supporting me. I want to thank and publicly show my appreciation for my mom, my brother and sister, my Uncle Ricky, Linda, my grandma. Besides the countless individuals who have offered their support financially and in words of kindness, I also want to thank organizations like Equality Alabama and GLAAD for offering their direct support to me and my family, as well as working to create a culture in Alabama where people aren’t attacked for being who they are and loving who they love. Thank you to all those who have prayed, supported and advocated for myself and my family. For those of you who pray, we ask you to continue to pray for us as we heal.
The attack on the 23-year-old Mobile, Ala. woman has the public in an uproar, with many noting that regardless if the assault was based on Mallory’s sexual orientation or not, Travis had no right to lay his hands on her in any form.
“Living openly as an LGBT person in America takes a tremendous amount of courage, and moments like this remind us of the obligation we have to continue creating safer environments – particularly for vulnerable LGBT youth,” Human Rights Campaign President Chad Griffin said in a statement.
“No one who is brave enough to be open and honest in their local community should ever fear for their well-being or personal safety.”

Wendy Williams Accused of Ordering Thousands of Chinese Shoes and Not Paying the Tab

Are we in the twilight zone? China is not playing with gossip queen and talk show host, Wendy William. Wendy Williams and her husband owe , big time, to a China based shoe company that made approximately 12,140 pairs of shoes for her new “Adorn” line.
According to the NY Daily News, the owner of the manufacturing company Max Harvest International Holding, associated with the purchase, has gone into hiding, as a result of him being kidnapped. That’s right! He was kidnapped for non-payment. But it is not his debt. He is waiting on Williams to pay him what she owes.
The amount in question is $419,000.The victim was held for two weeks and then released with no harm done. It has been said that the victim and his wife have fled Hong Kong. The lawyer for the factory owner, Staci Riordan of Los Angeles, said, “Things don’t work in China the way they work in the United States.”
Riordan says that she has been trying to put a settlement in place for months. If settlement is not reached soon, then the case will go to Manhattan Supreme Court.
Wendy Williams has not issued a statement, as of yet.

Chris Brown Tells XXL He Is Still Learning About Love

Before all of the drama went down, on twitter with comedy writer, Jenny Johnson, Chris Brown sat down with XXLmagazine to talk Rihanna, Drake, and his past reactions to the media. In the December/January issue, Brown says, “When it comes to my love life, the perception seems as though I am a player. But that’s not true … Love is something I am still learning. It’s just an obstacle that I haven’t yet mastered. I think that’s my biggest hurdle in life.”

It is true that love is a process and one may have to go through a few hard bumps and bruises before they finally understand and get it. It is a good thing, that Brown recognizes that he is still young at love. But Brown may want to work on his anger management before thinking about love. Over the weekend, he cancelled his twitter account due to the Jenny Johnson feud.

In the past, he has lashed out in some awkward ways by throwing a fit after Robin Roberts asked some not so welcomed questions, during an interview on ABC’s, Good Morning America. Then, of course, everyone knows about the brawl between Brown and Drake, which led people to believe that the fight was all over Rihanna.

“I haven’t been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it’s showing my progression. I used to use my Twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it’s cool then it’s, ‘What’s up?’ But if it’sanything that’s too negative, I don’t care to respond.”, says Brown in the issue.

But Brown digressed and responded to Jenny Johnson, after she tweeted, “I know! Being a worthless piece of sh** can really age a person.”, making derogatory comments. The twitter eventually led to him deleting his account. Smart move, by the singer, whose reps now have serious damage control to consider.  Brown may be getting his second chance at love, or at least redeeming himself, with rumors still flying around about his very apparent dealings with Rihanna again. Does he deserve that second chance with Rihanna? Does he deserve a chance at love? Or should he be punished forever by every female, who thinks that he is still a jerk, and reminds him of it every chance they get?

Halle Berry Reaches a Settlement with Her Ex

The fighting in Halle Berry’s relationship has been devoid of class.  It’s embarrassing to everyone involved and probably ripping a hole in her bank account.  She’s worth millions, but that money can disappear quickly with one bad court case or a lawsuit.

This week, Halle and her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry have privately settled the dispute that made international headlines.  Aubry had a confrontation with Halle’s current boyfriend, Olivier Martinez, which left Aubry b****y, busted up and arrested.

Both sides filed restraining orders against each other, claiming that the other side started the fight.

The winners in all of this drama are the lawyers, who make hundreds of thousands of dollars every time Halle has a bad relationship.    This all started when Berry broke up with Aubry and began a long custody battle over the couple’s four-year old daughter, Nahla.

Blair Berk, Berry’s attorney, says that both sides have reached an agreement, but is mum on the details.  Maybe that’s best for everyone, including their poor daughter.

Dad Shows Up at School, Demands to Know: “Who’s F****ing His Daughter?”

Everyone is embarrassed of their parents in high school, but one New York dad has taken embarrassing his child to a  whole new level. On Wednesday, Michael Canaii showed up at his daughter’s school, High School  of Graphic Communications in New York City, and demanded to know “who was f*cking his daughter.”

The New York Post reports: “He was yelling and complaining that his daughter was smoking weed and not listening to him,

and he wanted the school to do something about that.”

One male student decided to make a smart comment to Canaii, which resulted in the father chasing the student back into school. That’s when the irate dad began swinging a heavy chain with a padlock and demanding to speak with his daughter and the school’s principal.

“[He] asked two students to take their stuff off and fight him in the lobby,” a source said. “He also asked security agents and a dean to ‘fight’ him as he was swinging a big chain around yelling, ‘No one is going to touch me.’ ”

When police arrived at the scene, they not only touched Canaii, they arrested him as well. Canaii was taken to the hospital for medical treatment after his arrest and then arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and held in lieu of a $5,000 bond or $1,000 cash bail.

Canaii’s lawyer says his client went to the school because he feared that his daughter was involved with drugs and gangs. Other than acting a fool at the school, sources say he’s an all around good dad.
