Jobless Kev spent £91,000 on sex chatline call 22hrs-a-day

A JOBLESS loner ran up a £91,000 phone bill in just two months by chatting to lingerie-clad beauties.

Kevin Waldrum, 45, spent up to 22 HOURS a day on the £2-a-minute lines after splitting from his girlfriend.

He said last night: “Chatlines are worse than drugs. I’m not a weirdo. I was just a normal guy with a normal chat who got hooked in and taken for an idiot.”

Kevin started pouring his heart out to sympathetic stunners from Studio 66 after spotting them on a daytime TV advert. As he chatted via his mobile he also watched the girls in their undies via a website.

They would wave back, talk about life and dish out advice — including what fast food to eat.

Kevin said: “I told one girl how I’d go to KFC and McDonald’s and she’d tell me, ‘Get this, it’s more healthy’. But 95 per cent of their chat is bull****.

“Another girl Hannah had just split from her boyfriend. She got me on Twitter and said we’d meet but it never happened. It’s all lies.”

Yet Kevin regularly stayed on the phone from 10am to 9pm each day. Once he chatted from 10pm one night to 8pm the next. The girls became so accustomed to him calling they gave him the nickname Loughborough Kev — a reference to his home town in Leicestershire.

Even when he got a bill for £19,333.63 and had his Samsung mobile barred he didn’t stop.

He got a new SIM card and spent another £71,850.67. In total he blew £91,184.30.

He said: “You get 20 minutes a call and they warn you near the end. I’d just phone straight back.

“These girls pretend to be your best friend but they’re all there to make a lot of money out of you.”

Vodafone has offered to cut his bill to £29,083 but ex-security guard Kevin says he can’t pay that as he’s still out of work. He said: “I admit it’s partly my fault but the line should have gone dead earlier.

“I’ve lost two stone through stress. Every time I see a Vodafone shop I feel physically sick.”

Vodafone said it suspended Kevin’s account after two months on October 21 when the total debt was £91,000. A spokesman added: “We can’t manage our customers’ spending but we will try to alert them if we are aware of unusual high spending.”

Did Wizkid Just Buy A Rolls Royce?

Has Wizkid added another automobile to his garage of luxury automobiles? Photos from several Instagram accounts including his and Pop singer Tiwa Savage suggest so.

The 23-year-old Pop star posted a photo of him holding a set of car keys – his BMW X6 car key which we are familiar with and a Rolls Royce car key, several minutes later, Tiwa posted a photo of herself sitting on a white Rolls Royce.

Tiwa Savage and Wizzy had hooked up yesterday for a Pepsi event (both acts are ambassadors of the popular beverage), go figure…

Wizzy later posted photos of himself, Tiwa Savage, upcoming R and B singer Chydinma (not to be confused with CAPital-Goretti’s Chidinma) and Jay Jay Okocha.

By our counting – this should be car number four for Wizkid; In November 2012, he added to his fleet of cars, a black 2009 V8 engine mid-size luxury crossover BMW X6, worth at about N10m. In September 2011, he acquired a N6m VW convertible. Back in July 2012, he was presented with a 2012 model Hyundai Sonata, a prize he received after winning the ‘Next Rated’ category at The Headies in October 2011.

His manager Godwin Tom did not respond to our E-mails as at the time of this report. And some insiders are saying the Rolls Royce may have been a prop…
