Women are always flocking to the latest beauty craze to make themselves appear more beautiful. From concrete butt implants to miles and miles of sewn in tresses and butterfly-inspired eyelashes, there are no limits to how far we’ll go for beauty standards set by some invisible chauvinistic man who’s never had to don a pair of painfully perfect stilettos. The latest craze doesn’t even appeal to women! Men–yes ladies, our counterparts are tattooing their bottom lips pink to attract women!

A Nigerian website, BattaBox.com, has released a video detailing the peculiar tattooed beauty trend. “We help dudes out who have black lips. We clean up their lips to make them pink lips,” says the tattoo artist in the video as he scribbles the Nicki-Minaj inspired tint to his African customer’s lips.
I don’t know about this one guys. I’ve heard of tattooing various things like eyebrows, eyeliner and the like, but your lips? Would you want your pout to be permanently pink?

RIHANNA GETS BREEZY TATTOO!

Rihanna has reportedly inked the word “Breezy” onto her body to show her commitment to Chris Brown. According to The Sun newspaper, Riri got the tattoo earlier this week.

The newspaper reports that a source revealed: “She got it to symbolize her commitment to him. Now the world knows they’re back together, they’re determined to make it work.”

Despite hints suggesting that they are dating, neither of the two have officially confirmed the news.

The Manchester City forward got a new tattoo on his chest, a Genghis Khan quote that reads – “I am the punishment of God. If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.”

Pimp Branded His Women with Long Tributes to their “Master”

It is sometimes difficult to know how pimps work their magic on the minds of women with low self-esteem. Some of the stories are astonishing and sad. The case of Alex “Cowboy” Campbell is one of them. Campbell, who lived in Chicago, was just given life in prison after it was proven that he raped, beat and threatened women under his command. Not only did Campbell force women into prostitution, he also told them to brand biblical-style tributes to him on their backs in order to prove their loyalty.

U.S. District Judge Robert Gettleman noted the branding as one of the things about this case that disturbed him the most.

“I think the worst thing you did to these girls, frankly, is branding them the way you did,” Gettleman said, according to the Chicago Tribune. “They can’t get rid of those tattoos. … They have a life sentence, all of them. Every time they look in the mirror. … And it’s gonna hurt. Their life sentences compel a life sentence for you.”
Campbell’s argument was that he was being targeted for being a black man. He also made reference to one of the women on the stand as “Trinity,” a name he gave her when she joined his “family.” A year ago, Campbell was convicted of forced labor, harboring illegal immigrants, s*x trafficking by force and extortion. Campbell forced three women from the Ukraine to work for almost nothing.

Campbell got the women to come to the US by promising them jobs in massage parlors and a place to live. Once they arrived, he took their immigration papers and forced them to sleep with him. During his trial, Campbell gave a two hour defense of his actions. As part of his argument, he held up two books: ”The Pimp’s Bible,” and an autobiography of famed pimp Iceberg Slim.

“I knew nothing about the pimp game,” he said. “I’ve never even seen these books in my life.”

One woman mentioned that the way Campbell got her to turn to prostitution is by exploiting the fact that she was 18-years old with no options. He bought her a meal and also offered her a job. This eventually led to her being branded, beaten and raped.

“It’s really hard to describe what he did,” she said. “How you have to live with the shame. I really felt for a long time this was all my fault.”

 

 

The ‘bagel head’: Japan’s strange new beauty trend

Tattoos too passé? A hardcore new body-modification trend plants a lumpy welt right in the middle of the forehead

The video: Insufficiently fulfilled by tattoos and piercings, Japanese body-art fans are taking things to another level with a bizarre practice called “bagel heading.” As demonstrated on a new National Geographic show called Taboo(take a look below), a bagel-head artist gives a willing participant the look by pumping 400 cc of saline into his forehead until a large welt forms — then presses a finger into the lump to create a bagel hole-like dent. Unlike other forms of body modification, the procedure isn’t permanent; the face bagel deflates in about a day as the body absorbs the saline. “People who like extreme body modification want to find their own way of doing things, and they’re always looking for new ways to do that,” Keroppy, a Japanese body modification artist, told Viceback in 2009. ”The more progressive the scene gets, the more these people have to experiment and go their own way.”

The reaction: First it was horn implants and eyeball tattoos, says Australia’s Herald Sun. But this? It’s a “hole” new trend. And, “oh boy, is it a lunch-ruiner,” says Carmel Lobello at Death and Taxes. I’m not sure if one person getting paid to have the procedure done on television constitutes a trend, but it really does look like “bagels are bursting out of your brain.”  It’s an intriguingly empty gesture, says Tracie Egan Morrissey at Jezebel, “There’s no point to the whole thing, other than to wear a skin bagel.” Watch it below:
